Had my most recent annual follow up with my cardiologist. All my labs are looking good from my primary physician, and my most recent stress test showed no new signs of blockage. And the official okay was given to stop taking my Effient (aka Prasugrel, aka blood thinner, aka constant bruise maker). I can finally start walking around (and into things) and no worry about having a bruise the size of Manhattan appearing. Or just having random bruises showing up and not being able to figure out where they came from. And for this, I am happy. Of course it also means one less expense per month for the medication. Plus getting off another one that my PCP says I can stop in a few more weeks, and that’ll help me out I think BIG time.
