Will someone explain to me why this is considered “breaking news”?  And why is it necessary to announce that he’s going to have a press conference?  Isn’t that like having a meeting to plan having a meeting? 

When will our politicians/media start announcing that they’ll be having an announcement informing us that an announcement about a press conference is coming?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not leveling this at the politicians involved, I’m poking fun at our news media and their definitions of “breaking news”.  If I wanted to poke fun at the administration, I’d point out that this shouldn’t be breaking news, given the propensity our sitting president and his administration has for holding press conferences.  Somehow, I’m sure some of our previous administrations have held their fair share of conferences as well.

Anyway, the MSM are lame.  Personal opinion.
