Last week, I invested in a Weight Watchers ActiveLink activity monitor. My goal is to have something with me that will keep me a bit more accountable to being a bit more active during the day and stop being so sedentary.
Now, having just recently done a half marathon, calling myself sedentary seems a bit off, but that’s how I feel now. I let myself slip from a training regiment, and that’s mostly because I don’t have a goal of a half marathon at the moment. Recognizing all this, it’s time to make a change.
So, right now, my goal is to get active, even moderately, at least a half hour a day. While I enjoy my running, I think I’m going to aim for 30 minutes of running 2-3 times a week and 30 minutes of walking 4-5 times a week. I know that I’m going to try and work the cardio kickboxing class that’s taught at my gym into my routine once a week. And that’s an hour of killer energy!
If I can figure out how to link my ActiveLink information into a normal blog post, I will. If anyone is interested in following my progress, I’d appreciate the encouragement.
