Thanks a bunch, Hulu, you geeks (and I don’t mean that in a nice way)

So, I have recently had a strange desire to re-watch the Battlestar Galactica series. Probably because I saw all 5 seasons were available on Hulu. But I didn’t want to start from “33”, the first episode of Season 1. Nope, I wanted to start with the 3 hour mini-series that kicked it all off.

Strangely, it wasn’t available on Hulu, nor Redbox, nor the video store, nor Xbox Video. I couldn’t even find the mini-series at the library. I could purchase it, just couldn’t rent. No fun.

Well, I finally broke down, checked my budget, and just bought it through Xbox Video store. This also gave me a chance to test the video playback on streaming to my Surface. Very nice, btw. Love it. Anyways, I burned through the mini-series this evening and was looking forward to the episode 33. Guess what series Hulu decided to pull from rotation just since last week? Yeah, so now I have sort of had my BSG fix, just not as completely as I want. And of course, I have no idea if and when Hulu will drop it back in their queue.

So thanks, Hulu. You’ve just destroyed a sci fi addict’s chance to satisfy a craving. Nerds.
