So, it’s the belief of the administration that a bill from their side would pass IF THEIR OPPONENTS give it a fair shake.  But then they say that their opponent’s bill won’t pass at all, meaning they won’t look at it or, heaven forbid (gasp), compromise on it?  am I reading that right?

To me, it looks like they are saying that the other side must compromise and give in, yet they aren’t willing to do the same.

I could be wrong, but that’s the impressions this statement is making to me.

  1. Just to clarify here, I’m not intending on calling anyone names or making any judgements. I’m reading this statement one way, and wondering if anyone else read it the same way, or differently. And if it’s a different viewpoint, please tell me about yours.
